what does Lapu Lapu contributed in our country?
lapu lapu or first recorded as Çilapulapu ,the Philippine's first successful defender of our shores, and was a native Muslim on Mactan and a representative of the Sultan of Sulu. He was also the earliest known indigenous Visayan Muslim chieftain and datu in the island of Mactan. Lapu-Lapu is a 51 years old Ruler of Mactan. Lapu-Lapu was born on January 01, 1491.The exact date of Lapu-Lapu's death is not known, but it is generally accepted that he died on April 27, 1542, the day after Magellan's death. his parents were know as Inday Puti and Kusgano.
The Battle of Mactan was a fierce clash fought in the Philippines on 27 April 1521. The warriors of Lapulapu, one of the Datus of Mactan, overpowered and defeated a Spanish force fighting for Rajah Humabon of Cebu under the command of Portuguese explorer Ferdinand Magellan, who was killed in the battle.
Lapu-Lapu is also known under the names of Cilapulapu, Si Lapulapu, Salip Pulaka, Cali Pulaco, and LapuLapu Dimantag.he has a wife named Reyna Bulakna.
