Kufiya Netzwerk (KN) is a German network of pro-Palestinian groups, parties and individuals, founded in December 2023 as part of the general mobilization to stop the Gaza genocide [1]. Kufiya is a traditional Palestinian headdress.
Main signatories
editThe following groups and organizations are the main signatories of the founding statement: the AAPRP Germany (All African People’s Revolutionary Party), Black Power Frankfurt, Didf Frankfurt a.M., German Communist Party, Egyptian diaspora resists, and the Egyptian Revolutionary Socialists (الإشتراكيون الثوريون). Also contributing to this collective initiative are the Jewish Voice for Peace, Kommunistische-Organisation.de (KO)[2], Migrantifa Rhein-Main, Palästina e.V., and the Palästina-Forum Nahost Frankfurt. The Palästinensische Gemeinde Hessen, Revolutionäre Linke, Saadet Sönmez MdL, Socialist German Workers Youth (SDAJ), SDS.Die Linke, Studis gegen rechte Hetze, Young Struggle Frankfurt a.M., Zora, and the 23er Bewegung also participate in this network. Collectively, these groups span diverse ideological, cultural, and social perspectives, collaborating to address issues such as political advocacy, migration, social equity, and resistance against oppression.[3]
Activism
editOn the 4th of February 2024, the network organized a peaceful demonstration in Frankfurt, mobilizing at least 800 persons, according to the police.[4][5]
