Draft:LaMarre Theater

The LaMarre Theater is a theatre in Las Vegas,[1] named after African-American actor, entrepreneur and co-owner, Jean-Claude LaMarre. It is the only free-standing theatre in Las Vegas with Black owners and operators. LaMarre and his partner, Eurika Pratts, opened the venue in July 2022.[2]

History

edit

In 2022, the theatre was founded by Jean-Claude LaMarre and Eurika Pratts to host his "Black Magic" show, inspired by the reality TVseries, "Vivica's Black Magic", starring Vivica A. Fox.

The theatre later took on Steve Connolly's "Spirit of the King" Elvis tribute act. From there, they continued to put on various small shows within the theatre.
