Landon Morris (born December 21, 2002) is an American football tight end for the Temple University Owls. He is 6 feet 5 inches tall and weighs 235 pounds.[1]

Early Life and Education
editMorris was born on December 21, 2002. He attended Nazareth Academy before transferring to Fishers High School, where he developed his skills in football.
A three-star recruit out of Nazareth Academy in Indianapolis, Morris recorded 81 career catches for 1,456 yards and 13 touchdowns. He was named to the All-HCC first team and recognized as one of the top 10 tight end prospects by Sports Illustrated All-American. Morris began his high school career at Hamilton Southeastern, where he played football and basketball as a freshman and sophomore, before transferring to Nazareth Academy for his junior year. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he moved back to Indianapolis and completed his senior season at Fishers High School.[3]
College Career
editMorris joined the Temple Owls football team, making an immediate impact with his size and skillset.
2024 (Redshirt Junior): After missing the previous season, Landon Morris made a triumphant return to game action this year, showcasing resilience and determination. The season marked his collegiate debut, highlighted by a series of standout performances that underscored his potential and growth.
Morris made his first career catch during a game against Oklahoma State (OSU), laying the groundwork for what would become an impressive comeback campaign. He earned his first career start in a matchup against Coastal Carolina (CCU) and followed it with a two-reception effort against Navy.
One of his most notable highlights came during the rivalry game against Army, where he secured a career-long 20-yard reception. However, his performance during the Homecoming victory over Tulsa (TU) truly cemented his breakout season. In that game, he set career highs in receptions (4), receiving yards (97), and achieved a new personal best with a 58-yard catch.[4]
Morris’ milestone moment came in a game against East Carolina (ECU), where he hauled in his first career touchdown—a 25-yard pass from quarterback Evan Simon—further solidifying his role as a key offensive contributor. His on-field achievements were complemented by his academic excellence, as he was named the Academic Player of the Week for his efforts leading up to the ECU game.

2023 (Redshirt Sophomore): Although Landon Morris was unable to take the field this season due to the NCAA double-transfer rule, his impact on the team remained significant. Demonstrating his commitment to growth and his team-first mentality, Morris excelled in his role on the scout team, earning recognition for his hard work and dedication.
He was named the Offensive Scout Team Player of the Week twice during the season, for his standout efforts in preparing the team ahead of matchups against SMU and USF.
While sidelined from game action, Morris used this time to hone his skills and contribute to the team’s success behind the scenes. His perseverance and determination are sure to make an impact when he returns to the field. The foundation he built this season reflects his dedication to both his personal development and the success of his teammates.
2022 (Redshirt Freshman): Did not appear in any games during his time at Utah.
2021 (Freshman): Originally signed with Syracuse and participated in spring practices in 2021 before entering the transfer portal and transferring to Utah.[6]
