Lapaz Community Hospital is a private hospital in Accra, founded by Kingsley Tetteh.^[1] The medical team at the hospital successfully delivered the first set of IVF quadruplets. The hospital is credited with several successful IVF deliveries since its inception.^[2]^[3] There exist an Annex at Christian Village in Achimota, Accra.^[4]

History

Lapaz Community Hospital was incorporated in September 2003 under the companies Act 1963 (Act 179) as a private clinic and commenced healthcare service on 2nd May 2004. The hospital is located at Abeka – Lapaz in Accra, expanded from the threshold of a clinic to become a fully – fledged hospital in 2006. The Lapaz Community Hospital Annex was opened on 29th November, 2008 at the Christian village Junction in response to healthcare demands by residents and traditional leaders.

The main branch and the annex have grown steadily to become 62 and 22 – bed capacity facilities respectively.^[5]

Award

After 12 years of medical services to the general public, Lapaz Community Hospital gained an international attention by wining award for customer satisfaction, leadership, innovation and efficiency. The ceremony was held in London by the prestigious International Quality Crown Award London 2016 of the BID Group. The hospital join the elite club of global health care providers for mankind.^[6]^[7]
