Larry C. Purcell is an American soil scientist and academic. He is Distinguished Professor of crop physiology at the University of Arkansas and has been its Altheimer Endowed Chair of Soybean Research since 2004.[1]

Early life and education

Purcell got a Bachelor of Science (1981) and a Master of Science (1984) from the University of Georgia. He pursued his doctoral studies at the University of Florida and graduated with a Ph.D. in 1992.[2]
