Laurie Parker (born July 24, 1963)[1][2] is an American writer, artist, and novelist.

Early life and education

Parker was born in Bruce, Mississippi,[1] to Ruth and Sam Parker, alongside her fraternal twin, Nancy. When she was a year old, she and her family moved to Starkville, Mississippi. She attended high school at Starkville High School and graduated in 1981 as valedictorian.[2]
