Lee Baber is an Emmy nominated North Carolina-based video producer, musician, and actor. Born in Charlotte NC on July 3, 1970, he graduated from Charlotte's Garinger High School and Boone's Appalachian State University.
His early career was spent working in television news for WSOC-TV in Charlotte and WFMY-TV in Greensboro, NC. He was nominated for several local Emmys-- including ones for spot news coverage and Community Service. He has also won many Telly Awards for corporate video work.
As an actor, writer and producer-- two of his short films were broadcast statewide on UNC-TV's "North Carolina Visions" program. The films were "The Interrogator" and "Sunshine and Shadows." Both appeared at various films festivals.
Baber has also appeared in many theatre productions in Greensboro, Boone and Charlotte. He also performed for thousands as "The Rainmaker' at the Tweetsie Railroad theme park in Boone, NC.
Baber's current project is leading the Indie Folk band "The Rabbit Council." Their debut album is expected in Fall of 2024. A single "Cold Flame" was released in the summer.
