The Delta Sounion[1] (IMO number: 9312145,[2] MMSI number: 240542000[3]), also referred to as MV Sounion[4] or MT Sounion,[5] is a Greek oil tanker operated by Delta Tankers,[1] built in 2006 in Incheon, South Korea, by Hyundai.[6] It was set ablaze by a Houthi attack in 2024 and abandoned.

History
editIn August 2024, while transiting the Red Sea, the ship was attacked by Houthi forces, forcing the ship's abandonment. It was set ablaze by a subsequent attack. Salvage operations commenced after the fires were controlled.
