Career
editBeard-Aigret began playing American football as a wide receiver and as a cornerback in 2016 with the Montereau Strikers youth team.[4] That year, he was named his team's best rookie of the year. He then played for the Kangourous de Pessac where he played in the 2017 and 2018 French Junior Bowls. He was named MVP of the 2018 Bowl. Beard spent part of 2018 at the Canadian college in Thetford Mines. He participated in the 2019 European Junior Championships with the French team, which finished in third place. During this competition, he sometiems played the position of quarterback.[4]
With the Thonon Black Panthers, Beard joined the Division 1 Elite Championship for the first time in his career. However, the season was canceled after three days following the COVID-19 pandemic. He then participated in the Canadian Football League (CFL) Combine in 2020 and the NFL in 2021.[5]
Beard is participating in the 2021 German Football League season with the Potsdam Royals.[6] He competed in the 2020 European Championship during which the French team finished in fourth place.
In 2022, Beard signed with the Berlin Thunder of the European League of Football (ELF). He again participated in the CFL Combine which allowed him to join the Saskatchewan Roughriders. Released before the start of the season,[6] he returned to the Thunder but broke his ankle[6] after four games which ended his season. In 2023, Beard joined the Helvetic Guards, the new Swiss franchise of the ELF.[6] He was named his team's MVP in the 12th week. At the end of the championship, he had the highest number of interceptions in the league (8) and was named best defensive player of the season.[2]
