Mahipatraje Korde Patil was one of the greatest warrior and general in Maratha Empire. He was also the best general from Korde Patil clan belonging from Khed. He played a important role in helping Shahu maharaj in gaining their throne and helped him in Battle of khed which took place near Bhima river. He is believed to kill nearly 2000 men single handedly in battle of khed.His father was one of the closest friend of Sambhaji Maharaj and died in the battle where Sambhahi Maharaj was captured. Seeing him in battlefield Firoz Khan one of the generals of Mughal writes about him in his biography " Sher chaal chale Mahipat jaise Arjun chadhe Indra rath".
