majiko (まじこ, born October 28, 1992) is a Japanese singer-songwriter. Formerly known as まじ娘[Notes 2] (Maji Musume) (pronounced the same). She is affiliated with Pinups Artist[2] and signed to Universal Music Japan.
Biography
editmajiko was born and raised in Tokyo. Growing up in a musical environment due to her mother being a vocalist and vocal trainer, she was exposed to a variety of genres including rock, soul, jazz, and occasionally folk music.
In recent years, she has gained attention as a female singer-songwriter in the band scene, performing at numerous live events both domestically and internationally. In addition to writing lyrics, composing, and arranging, she also designs goods and album covers.
During high school, she played drums in a band. By the time she entered vocational school, she decided to focus solely on being a vocalist.
The stage name "まじ娘" (majiko) came about as a hobby when she consulted a friend about posting a cover video on Nico Nico Douga. She chose it by reversing her surname "Kojima". The spelling was later changed from "まじ娘" to "majiko" when she made her major debut.
She loves lemons so much that she eats them with rice. Her favorite drink is alcohol. She has five whirlpools on her crown. Additionally, her lifeline in palmistry is said to be very short. She participated as a choir member in Toshiki Kadomatsu's live performance.
She is a fan of Dr. STONE and JoJo's Bizarre Adventure.
