Early life and education

Prof. Mallikarju Hiremath was born on 5th june, 1946 a village Bisarahalli in Koppal district/taluk. His father Veerabhadraiah was a private school teacher and his mother was Parvathi Devi, He did his primary education in Bisarahalli and Koppal. Secondary education from R.L.S. High School, in Dharwad. He was graduated from Karnataka Arts College Dharwad and did MA in English from Karnataka University Dharwad, in 1967.

Career

He served as a lecturer and selection grade lecturer in english in V.M.S.R.V. Arts, Science and Commerce College Hungund, Dist. Bagalkot, Karnataka, India (1967-2001), professor and then principal of the college (2001-2004). Now after retirement he resides in Dharwad.
