Mario Ghabali is an up-and-coming filmmaker who was born and raised in Lebanon. While attending the Lebanese Academy of Fine Arts (ALBA) in 2021, he directed his first short film, Puncture, which was selected in several international festivals. Mario expanded his knowledge of the profession by working in a variety of departments and gaining practical experience on numerous movie sets. He relocated to Paris in 2022 to attend the Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University to obtain a master's degree in screenwriting and directing. Since arriving to Paris, he wrote and directed Far from It (Loin de Là) in 2024, starring the renowned actress Darina Al Joundi, and made another short film for the esteemed Centre Pompidou's Hors Pistes festival.
Mario is now established in Paris, where he is currently developing his first short documentary and starting to write his first feature film.
