editIn July 2024, Timothée Chalamet came on board to star in Marty Supreme, a film directed by Josh Safdie, who wrote the script with Ronald Bronstein.[1] The film was inspired by professional table tennis player Marty Reisman, though "sources close to the production" called the story "a fictionalized original, rather than a biopic". In August, Gwyneth Paltrow joined the cast.[2] Principal photography is scheduled for New York in the fall of 2024.[3][4]
