Matthew James Richards (Matthew Richards) ^[1] is a pianist based in Wolverhampton. ^[2] . He is the musical director for the George Formby Society (GFS) ^[3]

During the COVID 19 pandemic, Richards hosted Zoom meetings enabling George Formby Society members to perform together virtually with their ukuleles during the lockdown. Resulting from this, he produced videos that got news coverage [1]

Matthew was featured on the Channel 4 TV Series The Piano performing in front of Judges pianist Lang Lang, singer Mika, and presenter Claudia Winkleman.^[4]
