Melinda Green is a computer scientist and mathematician, especially known for her contributions to multidimensional geometry puzzles. She is one of the authors of MagicCube4D, the creator of a physical analogue of a 2x2x2x2 Rubik's Cube, and the mind behind the concept of Buddhabrot.

MagicCube4D

Melinda Green and Don Hatch are the authors of MagicCube4D, a software project that explores the properties of four-dimensional Rubik's cube analogues.^[1]. The project attracted attention for its innovative approach to visualizing and manipulating objects in four-dimensional space and has been featured in popular media, such as mathematician Burkard Polster's (aka Mathologer) 'Cracking the 4D Rubik's Cube' and on SlashDot^[2]

2x2x2x2 Rubik's Cube

Green is also the creator of a physical 2x2x2x2 Rubik's Cube. Her work in this area continues extending the principles of the classic Rubik's Cube to higher dimensions, providing enthusiasts with a tangible and intellectually stimulating puzzle. This story of its creation has also received attention in popular media.

Buddhabrot

Green is also known for introducing the concept of Buddhabrot^[3], a visualization technique related to the Mandelbrot set.

Superliminal Website

Melinda Green runs the website Superliminal, where she shares her endeavours in mathematics, computer science, stereoscopic photography, and other areas. She has captured many beautiful stereo images, showcasing her artistry in creating visually captivating three-dimensional pictures.
