Miroslav Kolpakov (also known as "Mira"; born November 3, 1999, Lutsk, Ukraine) is a Ukrainian Dota 2 eSports player, best known for his performances as a member of Team Spirit. He is the champion of The International 10 and The International 12.[1] [2]
Biography
editMiroslav was born in Lutsk on November 3, 1999. He started playing Dota 2 at the age of 12, when older players from a local computer club near his school introduced him to the game. He quickly rose through the ranks, reaching a rating of 7k MMR by the time he was in university. [1]
Dota 2 Career
editHe chose to focus on Dota 2 rather than his studies and moved back to Ukraine to pursue a professional career. Mira started his professional career in May 2019 as a member of Cascade Esports. Together with this Ukrainian organization, he earned a bronze medal at the Epulze Monthly Cup Europe in May 2020 and gold at the UPEA Ukrainian Championship in 2020. When Vitaly "So bad" Oshmankevich retired in February 2021, Myroslav replaced him as a member of Team Spirit[3] and has since become one of the most successful support players in the world. He is known for his calm demeanor and his ability to make clutch plays. [4] [5] On October 17, 2021, Miroslav became the Dota 2 World Champion by winning The International 10 with Team Spirit. The team received over $18,000,000 in prize money, of which Miroslav received $3,681,660. [6] [7] Mira with Team Spirit were the winner of The International 2023, where they secured the championship with a 3-0 sweep against Gaming Gladiators. The earned a prize pool of 1,4 million dollars. [8] [9]
