Battlefield[1][2]

A primal and raw sound mixed with lyrics of love relationship high's & low's.

When Misconnected recorded their second album "Battlefield," they aimed to capture a more raw sound. This approach allowed each instrumentalist's unique playing style and signature voice to shine through distinctly. The band embraced a unfiltered and gritty aesthetic, diverging from the polished and pristine production that was prevalent among other pop-punk acts at the time.

"Battlefield" hearkened back to the alternative sounds of the early 1990s. Misconnected consciously preserved subtle nuances in the recordings, allowing audible elements like fingers sliding along guitar strings and vocalists' breaths between lyrics to remain intact. Many tracks were captured in a single take, lending an organic and unvarnished quality to the final product.

In contrast, Misconnected's subsequent release, "Get up and Come on, Ladies" (2008), showcased an opposing aesthetic. Almost serving as the "yin" to "Battlefield's" gritty "yang."

Get Up and Come On, Ladies[3][4]

The Virginia-based trio Misconnected, delivered an energetic and fun studio album with "Get Up and Come On, Ladies." This release showcases the band's pop punk sound.

Brady and Matt's vocal synchronization and harmonious blending, coupled with Zach's powerful style of drumming, is what brings this EP to life.

The opening track "Nowhere" immediately establishes the band's signature sound by blending a bright song with a darker lyrical subject matter.

"Tommy Boy" takes a comical exploration of the awkward social experiences of adolescence  in a storytelling way.

"Straight up With a Twist" transports the listener to the golden era of piracy and high seas adventures.

The last track "Never Meant to Be," takes an introspective look at the emotional turmoil of a deteriorating relationship.

Misconnected has crafted a cohesive and thematically diverse pop punk album. The contrasting moods and subject matter are unified by the band's signature sound and energetic performances.
