Mohammad Bagher Zeinali (Persian: محمدباقر زینالی, born 1972 in Ardabil, Iran) is a distinguished Iranian music composer and multi-instrumentalist specializing in Persian traditional music. He began learning music at the age of thirteen, starting with the Santur. In 1999, while studying painting in Tehran, he trained under Siamak Aghaei and Majid Kiani, mastering the Radif of Mirza Abdollah.[1]

Career

Zeinali is proficient in various traditional instruments including the Setar, Kamancheh, and Oud, having learned from musicians such as Farshad Tavakoli and Shahriar Jamshidi, and teaching himself to play the Oud.[2] In 2013 and 2014, he performed parts of the Radif of Mirza Abdollah on Kamancheh under the guidance of AliAkbar Shekarchi. He has performed extensively in Iran and internationally, in countries such as Italy, Germany, Switzerland, France, Algeria, Pakistan, and Turkey, aiming to promote Iranian traditional music globally.[3] His performances and collaborations have been featured in albums published by notable entities like Mahoor Institute of Culture and Arts and the Roudaki Foundation.[4]
