Mohammad Junaid Shahid was born in Karachi, Pakistan, and is a U.S. citizen residing in the United States. He is a young politician currently serving as the Secretary General of the Illinois chapter of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) in America.

In Karachi, particularly in District Central, Junaid is recognized for his activism against injustices committed by the Sindh police, which led to formal apologies from police officials in front of a Justice of the Peace. His efforts have also resulted in the clearing of many streets and roads of encroachments, significantly improving public access and community spaces.

As a social activist, he is dedicated to human rights and holds a certificate from the U.S. Department of Human Rights. He is also a member of the International Human Rights Commission. Additionally, Junaid is an entrepreneur and investor involved in various business ventures.
