Nicholas Crovetti (born March 12, 2008) is an American actor, best known for his role as Max Wright in the HBO series Big Little Lies (2017-Present) and his role as Iggy Peck in the Netflix children's animated series Ada Twist, Scientist.
Early life
editNicholas Crovetti was born on March 12, 2008, in California, to film producer and writer Bradley Cramp and actress Denise Crovetti. He has an elder sister, Isabella Crovetti, and a twin brother Cameron, both of whom have pursued acting careers.
Crovetti and his brother became interested in acting after watching their sister in her first series regular role in The Neighbors on set, and they had "begged [their] mom for several years" before she allowed them to start auditioning.
Career
editNicholas Crovetti began his acting career at a young age, asking his. Alongside his twin brother, Cameron Crovetti, Nicholas made his debut in the critically acclaimed HBO series Big Little Lies (2017-2019). In the series, he portrayed Max Wright, one of the twin sons of Celeste Wright (played by Nicole Kidman) and Perry Wright (Alexander Skarsgård).
In 2022, Nicholas starred in the psychological horror film Goodnight Mommy, a remake of the 2014 Austrian film of the same name. He portrayed one of the twin brothers who become suspicious of their mother after her behaviour drastically changes following facial surgery.
Nicholas also appeared in Witch Hunt (2021), a supernatural thriller where he played George, a key character in a dystopian world where witches are hunted by the authorities.
Another significant project for Nicholas was his role in The Boys (2020-2023), the Amazon Prime Video series known for its gritty and satirical take on the superhero genre. In The Boys, Nicholas joined his brother Cameron on screen as Ryan Butcher, a character with superhuman abilities and complex emotional struggles. Though his brother played Ryan Butcher in most scenes, Nicholas has often been linked to the role due to their frequent collaborative projects.
In addition to his live-action roles, Nicholas has also ventured into voice acting. He voiced a character in the animated series Puppy Dog Pals (2021), showing that his talents extend beyond on-screen performances to animated roles as well.
