It was originally launched in 2011[2] as Nickelodeon Animation which showed behind the scene content of their animated shows most of the time with their creators. Then the channel added NickRewind [3]content around 2015 which was clips of classic 90's animated shows like Rugrats, CatDog, Hey Arnold and more. Then in March 10, 2021 the channel rebranded it to Nickelodeon Cartoon Universe.[4]The content still stayed relatively the same. In around August of 2023 the channel rebranded into Nickoons[5]
