Ogu and the Secret Forest is a 2024 action-adventure game co-developed by Sinkhole Studio and Moonlab Studio,[1] published by Sinkhole Studio. The player controls a white platypus character named Baby Ogu, tasked with collecting six Sigils to save a fantasy world in peril. The game features action mechanics using Baby Ogu's butterfly net, along with puzzles and text-based riddles.
Ogu and the Secret Forest released a demo version on June 10, 2022, and entered Early Access on Steam on March 24, 2023. After approximately 1 year and 4 months, the game was officially launched as version 1.0 on July 29, 2024. The official mobile versions for both Android and iOS were released on August 24, 2024.
Game Show
editOgu and the Secret Forest was nominated for Game Design, Art, and Audio at the 2022 BIC (Busan Indie Connect Festival) and won awards in the Casual category as well as the Jury Prize.[2]
In 2023, Ogu and the Secret Forest nominated as a finalist in the Best Audio category at the 2023 Indie Game Award held at the Taipei Game Show.[3] Additionally, it was selected for the "Selected Indie 80" exhibition at the Tokyo Game Show.[4]
In 2024, Ogu and the Secret Forest was selected for exhibition at BitSummit Draft.[5]
