Olivera Šiljegović (Serbian Cyrillic: Оливера Шиљеговић; born 1994) is a Serbian-born fashion designer based in Miami, Florida. She owns the clothing brand "Olivera Atelier", which is known for designes that connect contemporary fashion with timeless elegance.[1]
Education
editOlivera was born in 1994 in Pančevo. She attended high school in Belgrade and then graduated international economics at Megatrend university in Belgrade.
Career
editOlivera started her career in fashion industry as a model before founding her label " Olivera Atelier" in 2020.[2] Most of her modelling career she spent in Milan, Italy, where she worked with Women Model Management for some of the most prestigious brands such as Prada, DKNY, Emilio Pucci, Agnona...[3] She was also chosen as one of the ten most beautiful girls at the Miss Serbia contest.[4]
Her first collection "Source of Inspiration" immediately attracted attention on the domestic public scene. Soon after, she opened a studio in Belgrade and continued making custom made luxury wear and wedding dresses.
In December 2022, she presented the collection "Epoch" at her first solo fashion show in Belgrade.[5] The fashion show was attended by many public figures who support Olivera's work and received great media coverage.[6]
Olivera's designs are handmade and colourful, inspired by femininity and elegance, with added volume that gives a women a modern look.[7] Her designs mainly refer to wedding dresses and high fashion luxury dresses, but often in the collections you can also find elegant women's suits or jumpsuits.[8]
