Draft:OneDome

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

OneDome is a British property technology (proptech) and financial technology (fintech) company based in the United Kingdom. Founded in 2016 by Babek Ismayil, the company operates an integrated digital platform combining property search, mortgage advice, conveyancing, transaction management, and financial services.

History

[edit]

Early development

[edit]

OneDome was founded in London in 2016 by Babek Ismayil. [1] The company initially developed technology for estate agents and other businesses involved in residential property transactions.

In 2017, OneDome raised $4 million in a Series A funding round to support the development of its technology and the expansion of its operations.[2]

The company launched its property-listing website in late 2019. In the same year, it acquired Nethouseprices.com, a website providing residential property listings, sold-price records, and other property information.[3]

In 2020, OneDome became a property-listing partner of Facebook. The partnership allowed estate agents using OneDome to publish residential property listings on Facebook Marketplace.[4]

In September 2020, the company raised a further $6.4 million from investors including Lord Jacob Rothschild and his family, Reuben Brothers Capital, and Clark Winslow, the founder of Winslow Capital. [5]

In 2021, OneDome entered partnerships with estate agency group Leaders Romans Group, and housebuilder Barratt Developments. Under these partnerships, Leaders Romans listed residential sales and rental properties on OneDome, Nethouseprices.com, and Facebook Marketplace, while Barratt Redrow began listing new-build properties on the OneDome platform.[6] [7]

Expansion into mortgage and homebuying services

[edit]

OneDome later expanded beyond property listings into mortgage advice, conveyancing, transaction management, and financial services. In 2022, it launched the HomeBuyer Service, which combines mortgage advice, conveyancing, and management of a property transaction in one package.

In January 2023, OneDome acquired CMME Mortgage and Protection Limited from CMME Group for an undisclosed amount.[8] The deal also included Contractor Wealth Management Limited, a wealth management business owned by CMME Group. [5] CMME specialises in providing mortgage and protection advice, with a focus on contractors and self-employed customers. [9]

The company continued to expand its mortgage operations in 2024. In November, it announced the acquisition of mortgage advisory business Albany Park.[10]

The following month, it agreed to acquire London-based mortgage brokerage Coreco Group for an undisclosed seven-figure amount.[11]

During the same year, OneDome announced a partnership with Costco Wholesale UK. Under the arrangement, Costco members were offered access to mortgage and conveyancing services provided by OneDome.[12]

Acquisitions and national expansion

[edit]

OneDome increased its consumer advertising activity in early 2025. In February, an advertisement promoting its property services reached more than three million views on YouTube.[13]

In May 2025, OneDome acquired digital mortgage broker Trussle, which was trading as Better.co,uk, from Better Home & Finance Holding Company.[14] [15]

In October 2025, OneDome entered a media-for-equity agreement with Channel 4 Ventures, the investment arm of Channel 4. The agreement was worth up to £7.5 million and involved Channel 4 providing advertising inventory in return for an equity interest in OneDome. [15]

The agreement initially included £5 million in advertising inventory, with a further £2.5 million contingent on meeting agreed business milestones. The deal was designed to support a national advertising campaign for the HomeBuyer Service during 2026. [15]

At the time of the agreement, OneDome facilitated close to £5 billion in mortgage lending annually and processed more than 1,000 property transactions each month. [15]

In November 2025, OneDome acquired Mortgage Intelligence Limited from Connells Group.[16] The transaction also included Mortgage Next Network Limited and Life and Easy Limited. Following the acquisition, the combined group was reported to include more than 550 mortgage brokers and arrange more than £10 billion in mortgages annually.[16]

In February 2026, OneDome completed a $25 million pre-Series C funding round, taking the total amount raised by the company to $40 million. The round included the Channel 4 Ventures media-for-equity agreement.[17]

Ahead of its national advertising campaign, OneDome appointed two agencies within Stagwell. Goodstuff was appointed to oversee media planning and placement, while Forsman & Bodenfors was appointed to develop the campaign’s brand and creative work.[18]
