Outdoor News is a newspaper founded in 1968, headquartered in Plymouth Minnesota[1][2] which publishes and prints seven different weekly papers for the following states: Minnesota, Illinois, Ohio, New York, Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania.[3] The paper also operates an Online newspaper. Articles in the paper feature news of interest to outdoor enthusiasts, particularly hunters and fishers. In addition to the opinion articles that the paper's reporters and columnists write, Outdoor News also covers news from legislative bodies and the Department of Natural Resources that affect hunting, fishing, and other outdoors activities. Outdoor News sponsors various outdoors related trade shows and events, such as the 2024 Game Fair[4] and the Wisconsin trapping tournament [5]. Outdoors News has created and hosted the Deer and Turkey Classic since 2016.[6]Outdoors News was inducted into the Minnesota Fishing Museum and Hall of Fame in 2012 for being "an instrumental voice on behalf of Minnesota anglers who count on the publication to cover the issues critical to preserving Minnesota’s fishing tradition for future generations".[7]

Robert Drieslein is the current president of the paper, having been first hired in 1997 as an editor.[8] Robert Drieslein also hosts Minnesota Outdoor News Radio, a weekly Podcast where he and semi-recurring or special guests talk about outdoor topics from around Minnesota, the Midwest, and the country.[9][10]
