The Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation, also known as PPWR,^[1] is a regulation implemented by the European Union to replace and build upon the packaging and packaging waste directive.^[2]

The PPWR entered into force on 11 February 2025 and applies generally from 12 August 2026.^[2]
