The Pagadian Explorers were a Filipino professional basketball team based in Pagadian, Zamboanga del Sur. The team last competed in the Pilipinas Super League (PSL) in 2022.

The Explorers were first established in 2006 as a member of the National Basketball Conference (NBC) before joining Liga Pilipinas upon the merger in 2008. Since then, the team was left dormant for over a decade until 2021 when they were revived as a founding member of the Pilipinas VisMin Super Cup. In 2022, the team moved to the Pilipinas Super League, where they were also a founding member.

History

First incarnation (late 2000s)

The history of the Explorers dates back to 2006, when Pagadian joined the National Basketball Conference as an expansion team. They made the finals once during their NBC stint. In 2008, they were among the teams that moved to the Liga Pilipinas following the merger of the NBC and the Mindanao Visayas Basketball Association.^[1]

Second incarnation (2021–2022)

In 2021, a new league, the Pilipinas VisMin Super Cup, was set to hold its upcoming Mindanao leg. Pagadian mayor Sammy Co saw the opportunity to revive the Pagadian Explorers for the new league.^[1] In the 1st Conference, Pagadian placed third in the Mindanao leg and made it to the second round of the quarterfinals before getting swept by the Roxas Vanguards. In the succeeding 2nd Conference, Pagadian moved up to second place but fell in the semifinals to the Kapatagan Buffalo Braves.

In 2022, Pagadian would move to another new league, this time being the Pilipinas Super League.^[2] They would finish sixth in the Pearl of the Orient Cup with a 5–9 record.
