Parkwalk Advisors is a venture capital firm that invests in ‘deep tech’ companies emerging from the UK’s globally-ranked research universities.
Parkwalk is the UK’s most active investor in the university spin-out sector and currently has over £500m of assets under management. It has invested in over 180 companies across its managed funds, including funds managed in conjunction with the universities of Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial and Bristol.
History
editParkwalk was founded in June 2009 by Alastair Kilgour, Alun Williams, Enrico D'Angelo, Moray Wright, and Neil Cameron.
In 2017, Parkwalk joined forces with IP Group plc, a FTSE 250 listed company.
In 2021, Parkwalk was the top investor in UK university spin-outs, participating in 31 deals.
In 2023, Parkwalk launched an Enterprise Investment Scheme (EIS) fund to invest in early-stage science and deep tech businesses coming out of UK universities.
