Pasha Pashkov (born May 28, 1986) is a Russian-born dancer and choreographer. He is known for being one of the professional dancers on the American TV series Dancing with the Stars, and also for participating in the second season of World of Dance. He is the frequent dance partner of his wife, Daniella Karagach.
Early life
editPasha Pashkov was born on May 28, 1986 in Perm, Russia. He started taking dance lessons at age 11.[1][2] He moved to the United States at age 15.
Career
editPashkov and Karagach are seven-time United States 10 Dance Champions and Latin Champions and have also won the Rising Star Professional Championship at the 2017 Blackpool Dance Festival and the 2018 U.S. Latin American Showdance Championship.[3][4] In 2009, the duo competed in the World Games in Kaohsiung, Taiwan.[5] In 2022, they started choreographing for So You Think You Can Dance.[6]
World of Dance
editPashkov and Karagach appeared on the second season of the reality competition show World of Dance.[5] The duo was eliminated after a dance-off against krump dancers James "BDash" Derrick and Kevin "Konkrete" David.[7][8]
Dancing with the Stars
editPashkov first joined the reality competition series Dancing with the Stars as a professional dancer for season 28. He was paired with actress Kate Flannery, and they finished in seventh place.
In the 29th season, he was paired with animal activist and Tiger King figure Carole Baskin. They finished in 14th place. Their pasodoble dance to "Eye of the Tiger" gained significant media attention.[9]
In the 30th season, he was paired with Bling Empire cast member Christine Chiu. They also finished in 14th place.
In the 31st season, he was paired with The Real Housewives of New Jersey cast member Teresa Giudice. They finished in 15th place, Pashkov's lowest placement to date.
In the 32nd season, he was paired with Vanderpump Rules cast member Ariana Madix. They finished in third place, marking Pashkov's best placement to date. This is also the only time Pashkov has progressed to the finals.
In the 33rd season, he was paired with actress Tori Spelling. They were eliminated joint-first along with con artist Anna Delvey.

Personal life
editPashkov and Daniella Karagach met in 2009 through their respective coaches; she was 15 years old at the time, and he was 22. They began dating shortly after Karagach turned 16.[10] Pashkov proposed on January 1, 2012, and they were married on July 18, 2014. In 2020, the couple launched a first dance preparation school for engaged couples.[11]
After learning that she was pregnant in July 2022, Karagach suffered a miscarriage at five weeks gestation.[12] Four months later, she and Pashkov announced that they were expecting a rainbow baby.[13] Their daughter, Nikita Sofia Pashkova, was born on May 30, 2023.[14]
