- Comment: The draft gives little indication why the subject is notable: Where is the neighborhood located (how far from the center of Atlanta, which direction), how many people live there, landmarks (other than the Duck Pond)? Expansion might also include location coordinates, local government representation, public transport.... Paul W (talk) 11:50, 30 April 2021 (UTC)
Peachtree Heights East is a mainly residential neighborhood with a population of 1,743[1] located 5.25 miles north of the center of Atlanta, Georgia. It is located within the Buckhead Community. Its Duck Pond and Parks sit on 7.35 acres.[2][3]
Geography
editPeachtree Height East's geographical borders are Peachtree Road on the west, East Wesley Road on the north, Acorn Ave on the east, and Lindbergh Drive on the south. Nearby neighborhoods include Garden Hills, Peachtree Heights West, and Peachtree Hills.

History
editPeachtree Heights East was developed by Eretus "Petie" Rivers and Frank C. Owens. Lots were initially auctioned on June 19, 1909.[5]. A complete history of Peachtree Heights East through 1950 is the subject of a book, A History of Peachtree Heights East to 1950 an Atlanta Neighborhood[6] by author Bill Bell.
The Duck Pond
editThe Duck Pond and Parks total 7.35 acres, including a 2-acre Duck Pond. The land was deeded in a perpetual trust in 1933 by Una Rivers, the wife of Eretus Rivers. In 1986, Peachtree Heights Park, Inc. was formed[7] and currently holds the title.[8]
The Duck Pond is fed by two streams and is a part of the Peachtree Creek watershed.[9]
