Perpetual Motion Machines is the fourth full-length album by the Los Angeles, California-based band Days Between Stations. It is set for release on November 29th 2024[1] worldwide
Background
editProduced by Navon Weisberg, this album started as a soundtrack for a documentary film about artist Jean Paul Bourdier, and is based on visual influence. In the mid-2010s, Oscar and Sepand began working on music for a documentary film about artist Jean-Paul Bourdier with friend Alexandre Dorriz (who had shot the original footage). As the film reached completion Days Between Stations was given the opportunity to release their music as a proper album. Themes of rebirth, the extreme death of the desert. Days Between Stations is quoted as saying "Art is the only tool we have that helps us give control over reality of life. Jean Paul takes us to pure primal unclothed bodies and the bare earth, and unites us to it in the harshest terrain, as if we were part of the natural landscape." Perpetual Motion Machines ventures into contemporary electronic cinematic compositions and was scored by Oscar Fuentes and Sepand Samzadeh. This album features a guest appearance by Durga McBroom on track Being[2].
Video for title track "Seeds" will be release October 1st, which will feature the artist Jean Paul Bourdier at work[3].
