Draft:Pierre Timaitre

  • Comment: Hello user:Phantomlord66, let me have a closer look at this. You have suggested to me and to User:DoubleGrazing that "all the informations given had been verified by the french wikipedia team". (Special:Diff/1234128419/1234224259, Special:Diff/1234117068/1234222883) No. Just no! I usually don't look at other Wikipedias when doing AfC. But you have given me a very good reason to! The "French Wikipedia Team", who would that be? Wikimédia France? The community? I reckon, we both don't know that. Anyways: On French Wikipedia, a "verification process" such as WP:AfC or WP:PC does not exist, however, a patrol log exists on French Wikipedia, and it is empty. The French fr:Pierre Timaitre article also has a "wikification" problem (i.e., its formatting and style are not compliant with Wikipedia's guidelines. I mean it doesn't say that the sourcing is bad, but it gives me an intent to dig deeper. Most footnotes refer to bad sources such as Yumpu, Google Search, YouTube… (fr:Special:Diff/212727936#Notes_et_références) well, I stop at this point. The article was created by an account that is very likely a WP:SPA, whose username is not compliant with French Wikipedia's username policy, and who has not disclosed any paid editing (and that is you, if you didn't notice).
Back on 24 February, you told User:DoubleGrazing that you have "tried to create an english version of an already existing page on wikipedia". (Special:Diff/1209916467/1210211660) While that is technically not "wrong", it is strongly misleading. On 24 February that "already existing page on wikipedia" was less than 24 hours old, i.e., you created that page on 23 February (fr:Special:Diff/212727936). If you had chosen a username compliant with French Wikipedia's username policy, and if you had disclosed a conflict of interest according to Wikimedia's Terms of Use, I bet your article would have faced major CEs or even deletion. I'd argue that nobody has taken his or her time to have a closer look at the French article. However, claiming that someone on French Wikipedia has "verified" that article is, per WP:AGF, incorrect. (Someone with WP:ABF would call it a blatant lie).
Not managing a conflict of interest and multiple attempts at misleading AfC reviewers is a modus operandi that is considered highly disruptive editing on English Wikipedia. You must stop that behaviour because it can warrant an indefinte block of your account (but I am not the one to judge that).
Please note: (Special:Diff/1234222883/1234223167) A reputable, experienced AfC reviewer will never accept a poor draft in exchange for a payment. Do not pay anyone who messaged you on Instagram(!), and who claims that he can accept your draft! See WP:SCAM for more information. Legitimate Wikipedia consulting firms do not contact private individuals, and such firms almost exclusively act in advisory capacity, i.e., they teach you how to improve the draft to such a degree that it becomes acceptable. Someone willing to accept a draft plagued by serious issues is not reputable, no matter whether or not he or she receives any form of compensation for that.
Regarding your draft's overall quality and contents: I reckon that I do not need to explain that at this point, but it is improvable (per WP:AGF). Best, --Johannes (Talk) (Contribs) (Articles) 09:24, 13 July 2024 (UTC)
