Powder Boy was a short film released in 2005[1] on Youtube[2] that was written, directed, and starring Harry Limauro IV, a film professional with numerous credits both in front of and behind the camera.[3]
The film has a running time of 2:29 and is set to the song "Life and Death" by 60's band The Music Box.[4] Playing on themes of love, loss, war and peace, and - as the source song leads - life and death themselves, we follow two unnamed protagonists, one male and one female, as they wander around a pond before eventually becoming separated, all under the quiet watchful eye of a pale woodland sprite; the titular Powder Boy.
It was filmed entirely on location in Ojai, CA.[5]
In 2024, just ahead of the 20 year anniversary, a limited run of 10 collectible bobble-heads of the Powder Boy character were created, based off of a behind-the-scenes photo where actor Harry Limauro IV is applying baby powder to himself just prior to filming.
