Priya Bhargava is the world’s first person with a disability to win the maximum number of pageant titles. She is the reigning 'Miss Global International Wheelchair 2024', 'Miss Asia International Wheelchair 2024', and 'Miss Wheelchair India 2015'—pageants focused on empowering women in wheelchairs and breaking societal barriers. As an advocate for women’s rights, she serves as an Ambassador for 'Miss Wheelchair World' and is a Brand Ambassador for FOGSI’s Save Girl Child’ and ‘Women Empowerment’ initiatives. Priya is also a council member of ‘WICCI-NMHC’ (Women’s Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry – National Mental Health Council).

A multifaceted professional, Priya is not only a motivational and TEDx speaker but also a psychologist, model, author, fine artist, educator, and YouTuber. She holds double postgraduate degrees—earning first-class honors in ‘Computer Application’ (Regional Centre Topper) and securing second position in ‘Psychology’ at her university.

Priya made history by becoming the first person with a disability to be featured as the cover girl of the inaugural edition of the ‘Tales & Tellers’ literary magazine. She is also one of the featured models in the ‘Youth Icons 2021 Calendar’ by Swarga Foundation, Coimbatore.

A passionate advocate for inclusion and accessibility, Priya has broken new ground in both her professional and personal life. As a model, she has worked with prominent platforms like ‘Quint’, ‘Open Magazine’, and ‘Swarga Foundation’. As an artist, her work has been exhibited and sold, and she has collaborated with a dress designer whose creations were showcased in Delhi and Dubai.

Priya’s influence extends to her writing. As a freelance writer, she has contributed to respected portals like ‘Popularium’, ‘thecompletewomen.in’, ‘Inclov’, and ‘Quora’. She is also a co-author of two forthcoming books, ‘Holding My Tears’ and ‘Stories from My Life’. Through her YouTube channel, ‘Psychologist Priya Bhargava’, she educates and inspires students by discussing psychology and personal growth.

Her activism is a cornerstone of her life’s work. Priya has petitioned for wheelchair-accessible cinemas, and her efforts have helped pave the way for greater accessibility, exemplified by recent initiatives at PVR Cinemas. She is a strong supporter of the ‘Accessible India Campaign’ and continues to advocate for public spaces to become more inclusive.

Beyond her advocacy, Priya is a dedicated social worker. She has taught underprivileged children and mentored women, guiding them towards empowerment and personal growth. Her remarkable story of resilience—living with the autoimmune conditions ‘Lupus’ and ‘Transverse Myelitis’—is included in the ‘Gems for Life’ moral science curriculum, where it inspires students across India.

Despite the unpredictable challenges posed by her health, Priya's unyielding determination and progressive vision have made her a role model. Her journey is a testament to the power of perseverance and the importance of breaking down societal barriers.

Currently, Priya continues her work as a practicing psychologist, providing guidance to students and individuals seeking personal development. Through her YouTube channel and community outreach, she remains a powerful voice for empowerment, teaching, and advocacy for both women and children.
