Queens Road is an arterial road on the island of Viti Levu, Fiji. It is one of two roads that go from Lautoka to Suva, and the only road from Suva to Navua, Sigatoka, Pacific Harbour, Nadi and many villages on the Coral Coast. It opened in stages, with the part from Nadi to Sigatoka opening in 1976, and the rest opening in 1977.[1]
Route
editThe road starts in Suva, at the end of Victoria Parade, then continues through Lami, then crosses into the Namosi Province. It then passes through nearby villages and crosses into the Serua Province before it reaches Navua. The road crosses the Navua River and continues to Pacific Harbour. The road crosses into the Nadroga-Navosa Province where the next major settlement on the road is Sigatoka where it crosses the Sigatoka River. It then passes through Cuvu and Naidovi. The road goes through large agricultural land before crossing into Ba Province and arriving at Nadi. The road widens and passes next to the Nadi International Airport, where it then terminates at Lautoka.[2]
