Ramin Forghani (born 21 March 1989) is an Iranian-born political analyst. He moved to the United Kingdom in 2012 and is a guest analyst on Iran International television. Forghani provides insights into the region’s geopolitical strategies, regional conflicts, and international relations.

Biography

Ramin Forghani was born on 21 March 1989 in Shiraz, Iran.[1] He moved to the United Kingdom in 2012 after graduating with a BSc in Civil Engineering from Islamic Azad University.[2] A political activist in Glasgow, he served as the vice chairman of the Scottish Secular Society from April 2014 to May 2015.[3]

Holding an MA in Terrorism and Security from the University of Salford, and with expertise in diplomacy and Middle Eastern security, Forghani appears as a guest analyst on Iran International television, providing insights into the region’s geopolitical strategies, regional conflicts, and international relations.[4][5]

Personal life

Ramin Forghani is a nephew of Iran’s former deputy defence minister, Alireza Akbari.[6][7] Alireza Akbari, a British-Iranian national, was executed on 14 January 2023 in Iran on espionage charges.
