Randal A. Nardone (born July 22, 1955) is an American businessman and lawyer. He is a co-founder and the former Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Fortress Investment Group[1], an investment management firm.
Early Life and Education
editNardone was born on July 22, 1955. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in English and Biology from the University of Connecticut. He later obtained a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from the Boston University School of Law.
Career
editNardone began his career as a lawyer. He was a partner and executive committee member at the law firm of Thacher Proffitt & Wood. He transitioned into the financial sector and served as a principal at BlackRock Financial Management, Inc. before becoming a managing director at UBS.
In 1998, Nardone co-founded Fortress Investment Group along with Wesley R. Edens and Rob Kauffman. Under his leadership, the company has grown into a global investment manager with over $40 billion in assets under management.
Nardone has served as Fortress's CEO since 2013. He has also held various board memberships and executive roles within Fortress and its subsidiaries.
