Richard L. Selvala, Jr is an American businessman and volatility expert, known as the co-founder and CEO of Harvest Volatility Management LLC.[1][2][3]
Early life and education
editRichard received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical engineering from the University of Michigan in 1985, and subsequently pursued his MBA from Harvard Business School, graduating in 1990.[4]
Career
editAfter graduating from Harvard Business School, Richard started his career as a manager in General Motors New York Treasurer's Office (NYTO) in 1990.[5] He worked there for four years before he started working at UBS Investment Bank, where he assumed the position of Director of FX and Equity Derivatives.[6]
Richard left UBS in 2002 to join Credit Suisse, where he became Co-Head of Volaris, the bank's volatility management unit.[4][7] In 2008, Richard departed from Credit Suisse and established Harvest Volatility Management LLC, a Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) headquartered in Norwalk, Connecticut.[8][9]

editIn 1993, Richard married Kristin Anne Barrett in Ann Arbor, Michigan.[5]
