Rikkeisoft Corporation is a Vietnamese software company that provides software, IT-consulting, and outsourcing services.[1] It is headquartered in Hanoi and has branch offices in Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City, Tokyo, and Osaka. The company won the Japan Best Venture 100 in 2019,[2] the only Vietnamese company to be present on this list.

History

edit

Rikkeisoft was founded in Hanoi, Vietnam on April 6, 2012[3] by five Vietnamese software engineers in the home of the current chairman, Ta Son Tung.[4] Its name is derived from the alma maters of the founders: the Japanese Ritsumeikan and Keio Universities.[5][6][7][8]

In 2013, the company reached 49 employees and the office moved to a new address in the Simco Building in Hanoi. In 2014, Rikkeisoft became a Top 30 Vietnamese Outsourcing company.[9] The charter capital increased to a value of 25 million JPY. In 2015, the company was certified ISO 9001:2015 (2015) and ISO/IEC 27001:2013 (2015).

In 2016, Rikkeisoft opened its first branch office in Da Nang and established a Japanese subsidiary, Rikkeisoft Inc. In 2017, Rikkeisoft was honored as one of the top 50 IT companies in Vietnam, who together contributed approximately $1 Billion USD to the Vietnamese economy.[10]

2017 and 2018 saw an increase of Rikkeisoft's employment growth rate with 219 and 500 new employees respectively.

In 2019, Rikkeisoft established a branch office in Ho Chi Minh City and expanded their Hanoi offices, moving to their, as of 2020, headquarters at the Handico Tower. Rikkeisoft also founded two more subsidiaries: Rikkei.AI JSC and Rikkei Robotics, for the development and research of AI and Robotics.[11] In September of 2019, the number of employees reached 1,000.

In 2020, Rikkeisoft's second Japanese office was established in Osaka,[6][12] and the company partnered with Oraichain, an AI data oracle blockchain company.[13] Formerly a limited company, Rikkeisoft became a corporation in October that year.[14]

In 2023, Rikkeisoft established a US subsidiary, RKTech, in Dallas, and announced projected spending of $10–30 million over the next three years on expansion in the US.[15][16]

Corporate responsibility

Rikkeisoft sponsored the establishment of a kindergarten in Sa Tong, Muong Cha, Dien Bien province.[17][18]
