Roi Fabito (born August 21, 1991)[1] is a Filipino American YouTuber known for his video content on the Guava Juice channel, where he shares challenges, experiments, and family-friendly entertainment.[1][2] He initially gained fame as one half of the duo behind the YouTube channel Wassabi Productions, alongside Alexander "Alex" Burriss, also known as Alex Wassabi.[3] As of October 2024, his Guava Juice channel has amassed over 16.8 million subscribers, making him a prominent figure in the online entertainment community.[1][4][5]
Career
editIn July 2006, Fabito created his Guava Juice channel. However, he gained widespread recognition as one half of the comedy duo behind the YouTube channel Wassabi Productions, where he collaborated with Alex Wassabi.[3] The duo became known for their comedic sketches, parodies, and challenges. One of their first viral successes came with the "Call Me Maybe" parody video, which garnered over 100 million views, catapulting their channel to fame.[6]
In 2016 he left Wassabi Productions[7], and branched out to focus on his solo channel, Guava Juice. His new content, featuring challenges, experiments, and kid-friendly entertainment, attracted a large audience, and his channel grew to over 16.8 million subscribers.[1]
Fabito released a mobile game Tub Tapper in 2018.[8] At the end of 2021, Fabito's animated kids' show, The Guava Juice Show, was released as a YouTube Original.[9][10]
Fabito reunited with Alex Wassabi in May 2023 forming the YouTube channel Spicy Fruit.[11][12] On January 27, 2024, Fabito returned to Wassabi Productions and Spicy Fruit was turned into a podcast.[13] On September 28, 2024, Fabito and Burriss announced on YouTube that Fabito was leaving Wassabi Productions for a second time due to financial reasons, with Burriss taking sole ownership of the channel again and bringing his vlogs back. Fabito returned to the Guava Juice channel full-time. However, they plan to continue the Spicy Fruit podcast.[14]
Personal Life
editRoi Fabito met Monette Solomon at a national youth conference in 2007 and they formed a close friendship. Six years later they started dating.[15] The couple married in 2023 and occasionally shares moments from their life together in his videos.[16] He has a dog named Ooogie.[17]
