Roingus State Pygmy Jerboa's
editThe Roingus State Pygmy Jerboa's are an un-official Minecraft football team, who reside at Roingus State University currently located in Sumter, RG, MCBE. This University is part of the MCAA (Minecraft College Football). This university is a major college, mainly for the Sumter-Duluth-Magooston region, with Brandon and Charles county having a shared regular college.
Football Team History
editIn 1996, a group of people from the MCAA decided to form a new football team from a new university, which was known as Sumter College. The team was formed on August 28th, which created the "Sumter Bombay Cats". The Bombay cats didn't serve for Duluth or Magooston like how they do today. Their first game was against the Duluth Bulldogs (DEFUNCT TEAM), and they won.
Name Change's
editThe team decided that the name would be changed, because the name just didn't go too well with the state name "Roingusia". The team then decided that the name would be changed to the "Roingus State Bombay Cats". The name only stayed for a month before they retired the "Bombay Cat" term. The Pygmy Jerboa would become their next mascot. The name "Roingus State Pygmy Jerboas" became the name on October 31st, 2006.
Prime Season's
editThe seasons of 2007, 2008, and 2009 were the prime years for the Pygmy Jerboas. They scored really well against every team they went against. From the Magooston Goobers (DEFUNCT TEAM) to the Sumter Black Cats , who replaced the Bombay Cats. They played so well in those seasons, they won 3 Football awards.
Radio Year's
editBetween the years of 2010-2012, the team owned a radio station called "104.5 RSPJ Radio", with the call sign of WRSJ-FM. The station wasn't successful at all, and was sold to Roingus Radio in 2013, taking the new name "104.5 NSD" with a new call sign of "WNSD-FM".
2014-2020 Seasons
editThe seasons of 2014-2020 went decent for the team. They lost and won an even amount of games, but unfortunately, the old coach "Rongibu P Jerboa" retired from being a coach, handing the team over to "Roingus P Jerboa".
The Attack
editOn August 3rd, 2024, a major event happened that would change the teams future forever. The SCT (Sumter Capital Tower) which contained a lot of government, was blown up, a few hours later, the Wang Enterprises Stadium, which the RSPJ played in, was attacked. The field was raided by terrorists from Duluth, MN. The field was destroyed, and so were the stands.
Recovery
editA month later, in September, the entire stadium was upgraded and repaired. It had 2 levels of seating area, and had a massive dome that covered the stands and the field.
