RoundTable is an alternative rock, grunge, punk, metal band from the city of Bogotá, Colombia created by Camilo Valencia (Sir Lancelot), Lucas Maestre (Sir Galahad), Tomás Pinzón (Sir Gawain), and Simón Maestre (Sir Bedivere).
The name of the band was coined due to a dynamic among the members in which they referred to themselves as knights of the Round Table legend of King Arthur (Round Table), based on this they began to embrace the idea of using part of this legend and having an independent role within the narrative, in which each one was one of its members. Due to the need to incorporate an identity to the band in which they played, they decided it would be prudent to call the group the same as the English tale, so they assigned a name for each of the members. (According to Sir Lancelot)
Origin
editThe band started as a school project at the members' school, playing songs from famous bands of the genre and participating in events held at the same educational institution. They organized a charity event at a local food plaza in their hometown as a method of learning about stage presence and live performance. They have played in bars and venues and are currently active.
There was a hiatus at the end of the year 2023 during which there were no plans to continue with the project. The main idea was to have a band only for the duration of their time as students at their school, lasting until graduation.
After the dissolution of Sir Galahad's former band "Dark Journey," the group came to the conclusion of rekindling the band project and starting to take on the identity of RoundTable on a larger scale, not just as a mere pastime.

editFirst Album (2023-2024)

Musical Style
editThe band's main influences include Franz Ferdinand, Nirvana, Muse, and Rage Against The Machine among others in the genre, where the use of arrhythmic and aggressive drums along with melodic bass can be noted.
The band's idea is to deliver nostalgic and original sounds with dark and acidic notes, their short career denotes naturalness in their works.
