editRoy Peretz was born in Tel Aviv, Israel. He pursued chemical engineering and successfully started Peretz Manufacturing, a chemical company that he established in 1988, he then ventured into the pawn industry in South Africa in 1999.
Career

editPeretz entered the pawn industry by opening a small shop called LoanCorp between the years of 1999-2012, dealing in gold and silver.
Cash Inn
editOver time, he expanded and eventually established Cash Inn in 2009, a larger pawn shop in Hyde Park, Johannesburg. Cash Inn specializes in high-value items, including diamonds, luxury watches, gold, and rare collectibles.
Pawn Stars
