History Thomas Jefferson Rudd with business partner, Alex Kinsfather started Rudd Plumbing is 1920. The company performed primarily new construction installations in Tyler, Texas and the surrounding area. In 1955, Richard Rudd purchased the business from his father. In the 1980, a Fire Protection division was introduced. In 1995, Richard Rudd sold the business to his daughter and 3 sons. In 2008 a Fire and Security Alarm division was added. In 2016 the Alarm Division was purchased by Colton Rudd. In 2018, David Rudd purchased the Fire Sprinkler division. In 2019 the corporation was closed and the assets were purchased by Muran Plumbing. In 2022, Colton Rudd, Thomas Jefferson’s great-grandson purchased Muran Plumbing and changed the name back to Rudd Plumbing. Today the company operates a full service department and a new construction department for commercial and residential projects.
Location Rudd Plumbing has been located on Erwin St. in Tyler, Texas since 1920, and has been in its current location since 1955.
