SBVA (legal name SBVA Corp.) was established in 2000 in South Korea as an early-stage venture capital firm under SoftBank Group, originally known as SoftBank Ventures[1], and has been empowering exceptional entrepreneurs worldwide. Leveraging its expertise and network in the ICT sector, SBVA has invested over $2 billion in more than 300 startups over the past 20 years, with a focus on AI, IoT, and smart robotics.

In 2023, SBVA joined forces with The Edgeof[2], a global startup ecosystem builder founded by Taizo Son, Atsushi Taira, and JP Lee and began a new chapter as an independent entity with a renewed commitment to fostering innovation and technological advancement.

Currently, SBVA has offices in Seoul, Beijing, Singapore, San Francisco, and Israel, supporting over 100 portfolio companies while continuing its global investment activities.
