Slimbook is a Spanish company that manufactures and sells ultrabooks.[1][2][3], desktop computers[4], mini PCs[5] and accessories compatible with GNU/Linux distributions as well as Windows.
History
editFounded in 2015[6][7] by CEO, Alejandro López, Slimbook operates as part of the Grupo Odín company, established in 2007 in Valencia. The company was initially focused on developing high-quality ultrabooks with pre-installed GNU/Linux options, aiming to address the limited availability of Linux-compatible hardware at the time.[8]
In 2018, Slimbook opened the Linux Center[9][10] in Paterna, a physical space that hosts events and workshops related to various free and open source tools.
Slimbook has participated in and sponsored FOSS-related events, including Akademy[11][12][13][14], Akademy-es[15], and GUADEC. In 2021, Slimbook became an official KDE patron[16].
Products
