Sabin Mathew (born 28 March 1984) is an Indian YouTuber and educator.[1][2][3][4] Mathew produces educational videos in English. He runs three YouTube channels 1) Lesics (focused on engineering education 2) Sabins (focused on school education) 3) Sabins Mechanical Engineering.[5][6][7][8]Mathew represented India twice in the YouTube Creator Summit held at Melbourne and Tokyo in the years 2017 and 2019 respectively.[9][10]He has amassed 6.7 million subscribers and more than 1 billion views on his YouTube channel.[6] Apart from YouTube education, Mathew also provides engineering educational courses to students via his website.[11][12]

Early life

Mathew was born in Kerala on 28 Match 1984 and completed his schooling from Kerala.[13][3] Mathew completed his post graduation in mechanical engineering from IIT Delhi in the year 2010.[14][15]In the period of 2010 - 2011 he worked as a technology developer at Larsen & Toubro.[15]

Career

Sabin Mathew started his first channel on 4 December 2012 with the name Learn Engineering.[6] On 27 March 2021 he renamed the channel to Lesics.[16]According to an interview given a YouTube channel LearnoHub, Mathew started his YouTube channel when he lost his job, and he was the only employee in his organization. During this period he ran an engineering consultancy company and as a revenue backup he started Lesics channel. [17][18]On 28 August 2020 Mathew started his school YouTube channel - Sabins.[19]Mathew gets featured in all the experimental shoots of Lesics videos.[9][20] In April 2023 Mathew started his engineering course business via his website and Udemy.[21][11][12]Mathew was nominated for Septimius Awards 2022 in the best content creator category.[9][22]
