Sadek Sellam (born 1950 in Douera) is a French-Algerian historian and journalist, specializing in contemporary Muslim history.

Biography

Sadek Sellam was born in 1950 in the Algerian town of Douera, near Algiers, then under French colonization.

He possesses a particular expertise in the history of Islam in France and has highlighted or corrected errors of various ancient and contemporary Islamic scholars. He is often invited to meetings, conferences, or television shows where his interventions are engaging.

The historian has also updated certain ideas of members of the Association of Algerian Muslim Ulama.
